Doda Police Organized Debate Competition At Degree College Bhaderwah

DODA POLICE ORGANIZED DEBATE COMPETITION ON THE TOPIC “DRUG ABUSE” AT GOVT. DEGREE COLLEGE BHADERWAH  UNDER CIVIC ACTION PROGRAMME (CAP)

Today on 4th of April-2017 District Police Doda organized a debate competition on the topic “DRUG ABUSE” at Govt. Degree College Bhaderwah under Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2016-17. The debate competition was attended by Principal Govt. Degree College Bhaderwah Shri. Javed Iqbal, SDM Bhaderwah Dr. Owais Ahmed, IAS, C.O 4  RR. Shri. D.D Panday, DFO Bhaderwah Shri N.K Varma, BMO Bhaderwah Dr. Youghvir Singh, ASP Bhaderwah Shri. Shazaad Ahmed Salaria, DCO CRPF 33th Bn Smt. Neeraj Tyagi, SDPO Bhaderwah Shri Brijesh Sharma,  Tehsildar Bhaderwah Shri Masood Ahmed and other officers of Police and Civil administration, faculty members of the college, large number of students, prominent citizens of the area 17 students Govt. Degree College Bhaderwah  spoke on the topic Drug abuse. Aamir Hussain, Student of B.Sc -4th Semester of GDC Bhaderwah secured Ist position and was given rupees 1500/- cash reward/Trophy/participation certificate. 2nd position was secured by Arif Ashraf Student of BA- 2nd Semester of GDC Bhaderwah and was awarded  with rupees 1000/- cash reward/ Trophy / participation certificate and 3rd position was secured by Mohd Ayan, Student of BA-1st of GDC Bhaderwah who was awarded with rupees 500/- cash reward/trophy/participation certificate. All the participants students were awarded with participation certificates.  The youth and locals of the area appreciated the role of J&K Police in organizing such debate competition which will go a long way to protect the society especially youth from the evils of drug addiction. Drug free society is one of the objectives outlined by DGP J&K for the year 2017. In furtherance to the said objective District Doda has stepped up efforts to prevention and detection of illicit drugs and organizing such debate competition for the drug free society.

SSP Doda  Shri Mohammad Shabir, was the Chief guest who appealed the youth to refrain from drug menace, which  has eaten the vitals of the society. He stressed upon student  community to spread message to every nook and corner and sought their assistance in making the society drug free. This will also help in bettering the relations between Police and Public and also thanked the speakers and audience for witnessing such a wonderful programme. He exhorted upon the youth community to shun the path of drug menace and put their best efforts in doing good things for the society.  He assured the participants that such type of programmes would  continue  in future also.
