Rs 15 Cr Sanctioned for Pul Doda to Beoli Road
Doda APR 04--The Central government under CRF have sanctioned Rs 15 crore for widening of Pul Doda to Beoli road via Doda city .

Talking to this media person MLA Doda Shakti Raj Parihar said, “The Union government has given technical, administrative and financial nod for the project. 11 KM stretch from Pul Doda to Beoli via Doda city will be developed . The road will be widened by seven metres.”MLA said earlier, a proposal was submitted by him one year back , seeking construction and widening Pul Doda to Beloli road which is now approved and all sanctioned is released .“As per the proposal, the road should be widened by only seven metres. But now, road would be widened by 14 metres with seven meters on either side from the centre of the road. The matter was discussed with the engineer and has been finalized,” he said.He said Pul Doda to Beoli via Doda city is only road connectivity for District headquarter which was not widened by previous representatives included local R&B minister but due to his efforts PM Narinder Modi led central government approved and also sanctioned Rs 15 cr for the construction of the road .He said his focus in whole Doda constituency is on road connectivity to each and every area and soon people will see work of up gradation of Pul Doda to Doda city road and it was a dream project because this road is very important to connect Doda with other areas . He also informed that recently 2500 Cr rupees under PMGSy was also sanctioned by government for construction of Doda roads and 21 cr is also at the disposal for the construction of alternative Sudmadev Khelani Highway .MLA Doda also informed that Central Road Fund (CRF) is a non-lapsable fund created under Section 6 of the Central Road Fund Act, 2000 out of a cess/tax imposed by the Union Government on the consumption of Petrol and High Speed Diesel to develop and maintain National Highways, State roads (particularly those of economic importance and which provides inter-state connectivity), rural roads, railway under/over bridges etc.
