*Doda Police Organised Open Volley Ball tournament at Govt HSS Kastigarh*

Doda; Oct 24:--Today Doda Police inaugurated Open Volley Ball Tournament at Govt HSS Kastigarh by SSP Doda Shri Shabir Ahmed Dysp Hqrs Doda Shri Iftkar Ahmed accompanied by ICPP Kastigarh Shri Ashiq Ahmed, Tehsildsr Kastigarh Shri Azhar Amin Zargar and principal Shri Nek Ram under Civic Action Programme-2017-18. The main objective of organizing such events under CAP was to bridge the gap between Police and Public and to channelize the energy of youths towards sports and constructive activities.Om Prakash and Deepak Bhau were commentators of the matches, which were witnessed by the huge gathering from Kastigarh and adjoining areas.

As a part of Civic Action Programme, J&K Police organizes various activities from time to time across the length and breadth of the State, the purpose of which is to strengthen the relations between Police and Public, which play a pivotal role in maintaining communal harmony, peace and tranquility.After concluding of tournament SSP Doda Shabir Ahmed Khatana hold a Police Public meeting here at Govt HSS Kastigarh which was attended by 100/200 people including Sarpanches/Panches, members of social and political groups and prominent citizens/local of the area. Participants cherished the role of District Police for conducting such type of Sports activites/ meetings in to strengthen the relations between Police and Public. Participants were assured that their genuine demands will be taken up with concerned departments for redressal and those pertaining to the Police department will be redressed on priority.

SSP Doda Shri Shabir Ahmed Khatana urged upon the participants to co-operate and strengthen the hands of Police, so that the social crime, smuggling of drugs, bovine, illicit liquor, forest produce etc be eradicated from the area. The participants were assured that District Police Doda is trying its best to curb the crime from the society and asked for more cooperation from Public, so that a crime free atmosphere is build up in the area. Moreover, they were asked to maintain peace and communal harmony in the area. In todays tournament eight teams of different areas of Kastigarh viz Bhagwah Senior, HSS Kastigarh, Kastigarh Locals, Dessa, HSS Bhagwah, Shaleen, Gormul & Garh participated in the tournament, finaly Bhagwah won the volley ball match from Gormul. At last SSP Doda Shri Shabir Ahmed Khatana distributed Prizes among the Winner & runner up teams.
