SPORTS FESTIVAL MELA ORGANISED IN DODA

T20 Cricket Tournament was inaugurated by Sh. Bhawani Rakwal DC Doda, accompanied by Sh Mohammad Shabir SSP Doda and Sh Vinay Kumar Kullar ASP Hqrs Doda at Sports Staduim Doda under Civic Action Programme-2017-18. The main objective of organizing such events under CAP was to bridge the gap between Police and Public and to channelize the energy of youths towards sports and constructive activities. Shri Om Prakash and Zafferullah were commentators of the matches, which were witnessed by the huge gathering from Doda and adjoining areas. The first match was played between Govt. Hr. Sec. School Khellani and Shaheen Public Hr. Sec. School Doda which was won by Shaheen Public School Hr. Sec. School Doda by 10 wickets. Second match was played between Govt. Hr. Sec School Ghat and Faridya Model Hr. Sec. School Doda which was won by Faridya Model Hr. Sec. School Doda by 14 runs and third match was played between Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School Doda and Paramount Hr. Sec. School Doda which was won by Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School Doda by 48 runs. Dy SP Hqrs Doda Sh Ifkthar Ahmed, Sr. PO Sh Vikram Parihar , SHO Doda Inspr. Bishnesh Kumar and I/C PP DH Doda SI Ashiq Hussain along with other Police, Civil Administration and respectables of Doda Town were present during the inauguration of the said tournament. Other events to be followed included Cricket Semi final, Final, Race 100 meters/ 200 metres boys, Javelin Throw, Disc Throw, Shot Put , Khabbadi, Kho Kho etc.
As a part of Civic Action Programme, J&K Police organizes various activities from time to time across the length and breadth of the State, the purpose of which is to strengthen the relations between Police and Public, which play a pivotal role in maintaining communal harmony, peace and tranquility. ASP Hqrs Doda Sh. Vinay Kumar Khullar is the nodal officer of the Police Sports Festival for District Doda.
