ILLICIT LIQUOR RECOVERED- ACCUSED ARRESTED BY DODA POLICE
As a part of special drive against sale of illicit liquor launched by Doda police, Today on 05-12.2017, on a specific information about selling of illicit liquor in a dhaba at Tondua Doda, Police team of Police station Doda led by Inspector Manjeet Singh Sho PS Doda under the supervision of Dy SP Hqrs Doda Shri Iftkhar Ahmed raided on the Dhaba , and apprehended one person namely Mukesh kumar S/o Puran Singh R/o Dharafda Teh. Bhalla Doda.
During checking 37 Pouches of illicit liquor (frooties)250 ml each were recovered from his possession. In this regards a case FIR No 257/2017 U/S 48 (a) Excise Act stands registered at P/S Doda Further investigation of the case is going on.
It is pertinant to mention that Doda Police under the Command of SSP Doda Sh. Mohammad Shabir and Asp Doda Sh. Vinay kumar launched a special drive against sale of illicit liquor in Doda District and in this regard 65 FIR's registered in Doda District in last nine months and recovered more than 2000 pouches of illicit liquor.
People of Doda appreciated the role of Doda police in curbing the menace of illicit liquor in Doda District.
