SDM Thatri order suspension of 21 absentees Govt employees
Several employees were found absent since months together

Kishtwar September 25:

Taking strong note of absenteeism culture in government offices, Sub Divisional Magistrate Thatri Mohammad Anwar Bandey today placed 21 government employees under suspension for
remaining unauthorized absent from their duties and appointed Tehsildar Phagsoo Suresh Kumar Nagiyal as inquiry officer; who has been asked to submit its report within two weeks time so that further necessary action could be initiated against these absentees employees.
As per the details available with “Early Times”, SDM Thatri vide order No. SDM/T/564-72 Dated 25-09-2017, the SDM stated that during the surprise inspection and checking of the offices of the Sub Division Thatri on 23-09-2017, the officials of the different departments were found absent from duty.
“Shockingly the absence period in case of some of the officials goes back W.e.f 1-5-2017—theref
ore the pay of the said absent employees is hereby stopped with immediate effect” read the order.
After scrutinizing the attendance register , SDM Thatri found the following employees absent from their duties which include Tariq Hussain (19-09-2017), Zulafkar Ali (23-09-2017), Jaffar Hussain (30-05-2017 till date), Zakir Hussain all teachers posted at UPS Rangola, Yassar Rashid (12-09-2017), Tanveer Ahmed (18-09-2017) both teachers posted at UPS (Boys) Zenhari, Master Barham Rattan (16-09-2017), PET Rajinder Singh (22-09-2017), Mohan Lal (23-09-2017), Zahor Ahmed (21-09-2017, Sat Raj (23-09-2017), Irfan Ahmed (22-09-2017) all teachers and posted at High School Nandna, Junior Assistant Jaswant Singh (29-08-2017) posted at TSW Office Thatri, Junior Assistant Surjeet Singh (22-09-2017) posted at CDPO Office Thatri, Shankuntala Devi (22-09-2017), Santosh Kumari (23-09-2017), Yogeeta Thakur (21-09-2017), Charanjeet Kour (20-09-2017), Rekha Devi (1-05-2017), Shib Devi (20-09-2017) all Supervisors posted at CDPO Office Thatri and Assistant Accountant Santosh Singh posted at T.O Thatri who was found unauthorized absent from 4/9 to 13/9 and 19/9 till date.
The local people hails the action of SDM Thatri and called upon the government to take immediate action against the absentees employees ,beside also demanded for regular inspection and surprise of government offices so that growing absenteeism culture among the employees could be checked.
